NASA Science: F.6 Science Activation Corrections and Other Documents (2026)

Unleash your inner scientist with NASA's Science Mission Directorate Science Activation Program! This exciting initiative encourages everyone to get involved in science through a wide range of activities and resources. The program, known as F.6 SciAct, is part of ROSES-25 and aims to engage people from all walks of life in NASA's scientific endeavors. By doing so, it seeks to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for science while also addressing specific community needs.

F.6 SciAct is all about creating a balanced portfolio of projects that cover the full spectrum of NASA's science disciplines. These projects will be spread across all 50 states and U.S. territories, reaching people of all ages and backgrounds. They will include both formal and informal learning organizations, and engage community partners to maximize their impact.

NASA is looking for projects that either broadly share resources and opportunities that leverage NASA assets, or those that meet specific community needs through NASA assets. This means that whether you're an educator, a community leader, or just someone passionate about science, there's a place for you in F.6 SciAct.

Recently, minor corrections have been made to Section 3.3.1 and Table F.6-3 of ROSES-25 F.6 Science Activation. New text is in bold, and deleted text is struck through. The due dates remain unchanged: Notices of intent to propose are requested by January 26, 2026, and proposals are due March 31, 2026. Additionally, Preproposal Webinar Slides and a SciAct FAQ have been posted under other documents on the NSPIRES page for F.6 SciAct.

If you have any questions about F.6 SciAct, you can reach out to Lin Chambers at lin.h.chambers@nasa.gov. So, are you ready to embark on a scientific journey with NASA? Let's get started!
